Musicals & Theatre

Musicals are traditionally a nightmare for sound operators because of the larger cast sizes and the complexity of the show. Additionally, the audience wants to hear every word, but the director insists that no microphones may be seen!

At CP Audio, our radio mic systems use extremely small microphones, designed for applications such as theatre and musicals, and place them on the actor's head, just below the hairline, or alternatively, over the ear. In some cases, we also use small headset style microphones, but these are a bit more visible.
